(Original Caption) Brent Meldrum, 5, applies the Heimlich method on his sweetheart Tanya Brandon, 6, both of Lynn, showing inventor of the maneuver, Dr. Henry Heimlich, how he saved her from choking on a piece of candy last week. Believed to be the youngest person to save a life by using the method, he said he saw the Heimlich maneuver demonstrated on the television show Benson. Occasion was a heroism award for the youngster at Lynn City Hall.
