Washington state Representative Pramila Jayapal says in questioning alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai at a House Judiciary Committee antitrust hearing that there was no regulation on his at exchange market, if there were that would prohibit insider training so the broker could not use data and the broker division to buy and sell for their own interests, asking if Google had the same obligation to serve its clients selling and buying ad space, Pichai explaining the company paid over 14 billion dollars to publishers and was deeply committed to publishers, on average 69 percent of the revenue to publishers for site tools, a large margin business done to help publishers, Jayapal interjecting that there were reasons for regulating insider trading which was essentially the same thing and without accountability it was not enough to care about newspapers which were dying all over and ad revenue was a big reason.
