An intrepid https://www.aquariumofpacific.org/onlinelearningcenter/species/little_blue_penguin">little blue penguin caught attention as it swam in the waters of Rye, Victoria, recently, with local diving and wildlife enthusiast Emily May noting that it was "uncommon" to see these birds at a remove from their "usual habitats". May said the little bird likely came from a colony across Port Phillip at St Kilda, or on Phillip Island. She said she saw the penguin "swimming and hunting bait fish around Rye Pier." Little blue penguins are the smallest penguin species in the world, and https://www.aquariumofpacific.org/onlinelearningcenter/species/little_blue_penguin">typically travel in groups. May said the penguin was spotted in the same area for five days in a row, and seemed curious about its new surroundings.
