A distinctive feature of this particular variation is the interlaced knot or fretwork at the base of the stems, which serves to bind the oak elements together into a single, cohesive emblem. The entire device rests upon a decorative horizontal base characterized by a wavy, scalloped edge adorned with small, simplified crown or coronet symbols.
