Frederick the Wise - stock illustration
Frederick III, Elector of Saxony (1463 – 1525, also Frederick the Wise, German "Friedrich der Weise"), came from the House of Wettin and was Elector of Saxony from 1486 to his death. Woodcut engraving after a bronze casting by Peter Vischer (German sulptor, 1455 - 1529) at the tomb of Frederick the Wise in the Castle Church in Wittenberg, published in 1881.
