Historical view of the Gihon Spring or Fountain of the Virgin, also known as Saint Mary's Pool, is a spring in the Kidron Valley. The name Fountain of the Virgin derives from legend that here Mary washed the swaddling clothes of Jesus. Wood engraving, published in 1891.
