Henry I (c. 876-936), from the noble family of Liudolfinger. He was Duke of Saxony from 912 and 919 to 936 King of East Francia. Woodcut engraving after a fresco by Alfred Rethel (German painter, 1816 - 1859) in the Roemer at Frankfurt / Main (destroyed in 1944), published in 1881.
