Maria Theresa of Austria (1717 - 1780) was a princess from the House of Habsburg. She was the wife of Francis I Stephen (1708 - 1765), Holy Roman-German Emperor. The reigning Archduchess of Austria and Queen, among others of Hungary (with Croatia) and Bohemia (1735-1802), was one of the most influential monarchs of the era of the enlightened absolutism.
