A Sarcosuchus and Deltadromeus attack a lone Ouranosaurus. - stock illustration
A type of Iguanodont, Ouranosaurus wanders to the waters edge not realizing it is being watched by two different types of predators. Sarcosuchus, an ancient and giant member of the crocodile family, watches from the water while a Deltadromeus stalks from the cover of the vegetation. Sarcosuchus is possibly the largest crocodillian to have ever lived. They have been found in North Africa and South America. Deltadromeus is possibly a Ceratosaur and one fairly complete skeleton measures about 26 feet long. Another possible partial specimen has been found that is much larger and may have been 36 feet long or longer. They have unusually long legs compared to their slim bodies which intimates they may have been runners. Ouranosaurs travled in groups and were very common across North Africa 110-95 million years ago.
