Eric Hobsbawm - British Historian
Eric Hobsbawm (1917-2012), British historian, circa June 2007. Hobsbawm's specialist subjects include the rise of industrial capitalism, socialism and nationalism. He has written extensively and is seen as one of Britain's most prominent historians. He was famously a member of the Communist party and many of his views and comments were seen as controversial.
