Flames creep through a fence during a house fire in Cape Cor
UNITED STATES - OCTOBER 24: Flames creep through a fence during a house fire in Cape Coral, Florida Monday, October 24, 2005. The fire was caused by a high voltage line downed as Hurricane Wilma came through the area. The house was completely destroyed but its owner was able to escape with his children without injury. Hurricane Wilma headed into the Atlantic Ocean after its path across southern Florida knocked down trees and power lines and flooded low-lying areas. Insured damages from the storm may reach as much as $9 billion, more than any of the four hurricanes to hit the state last year. Wilma, the eighth hurricane to hit Florida since August 2004, was over the Atlantic, about 125 miles (201 kilometers) northeast of West Palm Beach, according to the U.S. National Hurricane Center. One death was attributed to the storm, which cut power to about more than 3 million people. (Photo by Gerald Weaver/Bloomberg via Getty Images)
