Former National Hunt jockey Richard Dunwoody at a training session in Iceland's cold store depot at Swindon, ahead of a race next year to the magnetic north pole. * The rest of the teams include novice and experienced explorers and the line-up also lists two Royal Marines, a free-style mountain climber, a policeman, a shopkeeper, a number of experienced yachtsmen, trans-Atlantic rower Norman Butler and Babs Powell - the former Pan's People dancer and wife of actor Robert Powell. The race, the first to the pole since the tragic battle between explorers Scott and Amundsen, was initiated by seasoned explorer David Hempleman-Adams and will be held next April.
