From ITV STRICT EMBARGO - No Use Before Wednesday 8th December 2010 Coronation Street Week 49 DEATH STALKS THE STREET As survivors are pulled from the wreckage of Coronation Street's tram crash three men remain trapped under the rubble fighting for their lives. Peter Barlow was celebrating his stag do when a huge explosion ripped through The Joinery bar. Since Monday he and fellow street residents Nick Platt and Ashley Peacock have been buried beneath the debris. Peter's injuries are life threatening and as emergency crews try to reach him the other two men are all too aware they could be too late. But as they mount a rescue mission themselves the building starts to collapse. Will anyone get out of the Joinery alive? Tonight's thrilling episode is part of a week's special programming which celebrates Coronation Street's 50th anniversary. An hour long live episode will mark the date on Thursday 9th December.
