Galusha Pennypacker
circa 1880: Galusha Pennypacker (1844-1916). American soldier, enlisted at age 16 in the National Guard, then in the Union Army 1861, served in the Department of the South, at Fort Wagner, and Cold Harbor, commissioned a colonel 1864, wounded at Fort Fisher 1865, made brigadier general in February, then a brevet major general in March 1865.
