Mycobacterium Tuberculosis
Here we see Mycobacterium tuberculosis in a sputum smear is stained using fluorescent acid-fast stain, 1971. M. tuberculosis is an acid-fast bacterium (AFB), and is therefore, undetectable when stained using a Gram stain technique.
