NATIONAL BISON RANGE, MOIESE, MONTANA ABOVE: Loren Clary <cq> a volunteer, but a retired Fish and Wildlife employee who worked at the facility since the 1970's, brings in the Bison cows into the corral using an ATV. United States Fish and Wildlife Service employees helped handle, process and sort the 16 American Bison heading to the Rocky Mountain Arsenal in Denver. The 3 bulls and 13 cows were selected from the Range herd, which consists of approximately 350 animals. Biologists, veterinarians, managers and volunteers were all part of the process. The Bison will be loaded onto an 18 wheeler and transported directly to the Arsenal where they will be released Saturday morning onto their new home rangeland. The National Bison Range is a national wildlife refuge located in Northwestern Montana and was one of 4 Fish and Wildlife herds established to save the American Bison at the turn of the century. This particular Refuge was started in 1908. PHOTO BY HELEN H. RICHARDSON (Photo By Helen H. Richardson/The Denver Post via Getty Images)
