Ludwig Borne (1786-1837), (originally Lob Baruch), German political journalist, writer and satirist, converted to Catholicism 1818, went to Paris to support the "July Revolution" of 1830, published journals critical of German theater and politics, lead the literary political party "Young Germany", and wrote Letters from Paris, 1832-34.
