New born seahorses swim inside a tank at SEA Lab in Redondo Beach. A total of 8 adult seahorses smuggled from Vietnam into LAX were confiscated, and donated by the Fish and Wildlife to the SEA lab. The babies, over 100, were born at the SEA lab. About 20 are still alive. Seahorse babies have a high mortality rate. The babies have a black coloration now but in time will eventually turn yellow.
