(Original Caption) Paavo Nurmi, famous Finnish distance runner (left) and his protege Taisto Maki, middle distance running champion, get some idea of the speed of New York City commuters, as they ride uptown on a subway train. The fleet Finns were scheduled to leave New York City February 29th for a Nation-wide tour in which Maki Finnish Relief Fund.
