Romanians drive a horse pulled cart next to a frozen Danube branch in Calarasi city, 110km east from Bucharest, on February 10, 2012. The river began to ice over in early February as temperatures plunged to minus 20 Celsius. Freezing temperatures claimed 16 more lives in Romania bringing the toll to 57 since the end of January, the health ministry said Friday, while tens of villages were cut off by snow. Around 150 people suffering from frostbite or hypothermia were taken to hospital overnight.
