Sue Townsend - English Author
Sue Townsend (1946 - 2014), English author, circa October 2008. Townsend came to prominence in the 1980s with her Adrian Mole books selling more copies than any other work of fiction in Britain during the decade. The Adrian Mole series depicts a teenage boy during the Thatcher years and follows him through to middle age. The books have been adapted into various TV series and radio plays.
