The abandoned baby William Daniel Redhill, at the Special Care unit at Rotherham District General Hospital. Police are seeking the mother of the healthy baby boy who weighs 9lb 4oz found abandoned only hours after his birth in a busy lay-by on Red Hill Lane. * The child was wrapped in a blue and white tea towel and placed next to a bush at Kiveton Park, Rotherham, South Yorkshire close by to local houses where he would be easily found. The baby was given his names because he was found on Shakespeare's birthday, the police officer on duty was called Daniel and the lane where he was dumped is called Red Hill.
