The Blakeman family celebrates the third annual 'Concert for Kyle' on Saturday, August 29th at 1pm MT at Civic Green Park in Highlands Ranch, themed "Remember, Celebrate, Educate" in honor of Kyle Blakeman. Many of Kyle's mementos from his life were on display including his high school baseball cap, mitt, and glove. The benefit concert will offer community members the chance to remember and celebrate the inspirational life of Kyle Blakeman, a ThunderRidge High School student diagnosed at 13 with a rare cancer, Renal Medullary Carcinoma, and also educate attendees about childhood cancer, the second leading cause of death among children in the United States. One hundred percent of the proceeds will go to the Kyle Blakeman Memorial Fund, which has raised over $18,000 to date for the Center for Cancer & Blood Disorders at The Children's Hospital in Denver.
