Wolf Fenris
This illustration dates to aroun 1898 and shows the wolf Fenris (also spelled Fenrir. The name translates as "He who dwells in the marshes." According to Norse mythology, he is the son of the god Loki and the giantess Angrboda. He is the brother of the serpent Jorungand and the underworld goddess Hel.
