(Original Caption) 9/2/1945-Tokyo Bay, Japan- The General of the Army, Douglas MacArthur, signs as the Supreme Allied Commander during a formal ceremony on the U.S.S. Missouri in Tokyo Bay. Behind General MacArthur are Lt. General Johnathan Wainwright(left) who surrendered to the Japanese after Bataan and Corregidor, and Lt. General A.E. Percival, British Commander who surrendered to the Japanese at Singapore.
