Pompton Lakes, N.J.: It seemed like old times today when Mike Jacobs, boxing promoter No. 1 of the country showed up at Joe Louis' camp to watch the heavyweight champ go through his training paces for his bout with Joe Walcott on Wednesday night. It was "Uncle" Mike's first appearance since his near-fatal illness of two years ago and was cause for a minor celebration. Louis was one of Jacobs' proteges, and there is a genuine bond of affection between them, as can be seen from this picture.
