Volunteers feed one of approximately 560 rescued Lesser Flamingo chicks treated at the Southern African Foundation for the Conservation of Coastal Birds (SANCCOB) rescue centre, on February 6, 2019, in Rietvlei, about 15km from the centre of Cape Town. - The chicks were deserted by their parents at Kamfer dam, near Kimberley, after water levels of the dam dropped to low levels.
