Actinolite is an amphibole silicate mineral with a bladed, radial and fibrous crystal structure. This sample is from Norway. Actinolite is commonly found in metamorphic rocks, such as contact aureoles surrounding cooled intrusive igneous rocks. It also occurs as a product of metamorphism of magnesium-rich limestones and has a hardness of 5-6 on the Mohs scale. In crystal healing it is said to heal the subtle energy body, filling in gaps that can result from psychic attack, illness, stress and unwanted negativity.
