Mexico City, Mexico - February 1, 2020: A large flower spike/stem from a maguey agave plant towers above people viewing the ruins of Templo Mayor (Great Temple/Main Temple) from a raised walkway. Templo Mayor was the main temple of the Mexica people in their capital city of Tenochtitlan, now Mexico City. The temple dates from the late post classic period of Mesoamerica (900–1521 CE). The site was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1987.
