On an Airline Flight, Austin Bound for North Young, or at least at heart Confidence coming from another adventure A metal body carries him and others on invisible air currents And the sun rises for another day Land and water soaking in the warm glow. Another work of short poetry or prose to complement the image captured on a morning flight from Austin to Dallas while on a trip to explore some national parks up in the Dakotas area of the US. I got the idea for a starting point for this poem from one I'd read on a CapMetro bus on my way home one afternoon (by Susan Van Haitsma). The sun rising and adding that glow to the landscape below just added to the rapture (if you will) of a new day...and adventure.
