Post Surgery Umbilical Hernia - stock photo
Photo taken two days after umbilical hernia surgery. The cotton gauze and adhesive tape is intentionally not covering the wound. It's just precautionary - put there by the surgeon to provide a bit of support the first day or so for that surgical incision just above. Look closely - turns out they don't use stitches to sew/suture you up anymore (May 2013) - they glue you back together! Who knew?? :)
