An ambitious 4-year-old boy was seen attempting to fish along a flooded street outside his home in Horace, North Dakota, on April 12. Video recorded by Kristie Mark shows her son, Jaxon, casting a line into the flooding from his driveway. Mark told Storyful that her son "absolutely loves fishing," and that "he was out there for 20 minutes until I told him he had to go inside." "Unfortunately nothing was caught or found," Mark said. "But he told everyone who walked by he caught a 'BIG' one!" On Wednesday, the National Weather Service warned of "snowmelt and associated flooding," saying that warming temperatures "will continue the rapid melting of the current snowpack" in the area.
