An Australian diver recently captured a "beautiful" sight on camera: two big-belly seahorses locked in an embrace in Rye, Victoria. Emily May, who runs the @emilymaydive Instagram account, was on a diving expedition at Rye Pier when she took video of the mating event. She told Storyful that when she first spotted the two seahorses, the female was clinging to the male before the female swam off. May thought the moment was over, but the female seahorse came back and the two intertwined. "It was, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen underwater," May told Storyful. May wrote on Instagram: "The female (on the right) positioned herself on top of the male's brood pouch and transferred her eggs. This behavior is really unique, as seahorses are the only known animal who have a male pregnancy. It is also super rare to see, so I felt so privileged to witness it."
