Arizona Senator and Iraq War Veteran Ruben Gallego says at a news conference on the Putting Veterans' First Act that when he and other soldiers first returned in 2005, it was nearly impossible to find room at the VA or therapists to help them, resulting in the loss of fellow servicemembers to suicide while others struggled with alcoholism and jail time, though some succeeded by finding service-oriented jobs with the federal government, only to have Elon Musk and 20-year-old brats with zero understanding of sacrifice tell these men and women once more that the country threw them aside without concern for their paychecks, health insurance, or rent payments after they sacrificed their minds, bodies, and youth for the country.
