Senator Gallego calls Trump administration most anti-veteran in American history as shutdown threat looms

Arizona Senator and Iraq War Veteran Ruben Gallego says at a news conference on the Putting Veterans' First Act that he didn't know what Trump planned to do about government funding but this was the most anti-veteran administration in the country's history, with more than a billion dollars of cuts to veteran benefits clearly stated in the Republican party's budget, and they would not vote for cuts to Veterans Services, which was what appeared in the bill, regardless of whether it passed or led to a government shutdown, as they would not take part in knowingly cutting more than a billion dollars from the VA, which was just the start of what could happen if Republicans were given that power.
