Backstage at the Chanel Ready to Wear show, as part of Paris Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 1989-1990. Photographer, Ben Coster, responds to a question asking if we (the UK) put the same money behind Fashion Designers like they do in France, would the UK be able to put on these kinds of shows (fashion shows such as the Chanel one they were at). Ben replies that Designers such as, Ozbek (Rifat Ozbek, the Turkish designer who studied in the UK), Katharine Hamnett, and Vivienne Westwood are as good as anything in the world.
