Hungry Bear Breaks Into Bird Feeder
A bear was spotted eating from a bird feeder at a home in Travelers Rest, South Carolina, in July. Kevin Keigley's video captured the moment when he arrived home to find the bear standing on its hind legs and feasting at the bird feeder. Keigley attempted to scare the bear away by repeatedly saying, "Hey, bear!" until it finally left. Keigley told https://www.wyff4.com/article/caught-video-bears-north-carolina-south-carolina/44690956 WYFF, "Got home from work and this bear was waiting for me. Totally wrecked my bird feeder! He was a big 'un!" The https://www.dnr.sc.gov/wildlife/bear/encountergraph.html South Carolina Department of Natural Resources said that bird feeders are involved in 29 percent of reported human-bear encounters in the state.
