Brexit Nation Divided - The Economy In 2017
VOICED PART 2 OF 2: Britain's economy has continued to grow since the Brexit vote. Despite that, Sky Data polling suggests we start 2017 in a downbeat mood over the economy. Almost half of those polled believe the economy will get worse over the next year -- and more than a third are gloomy about their personal financial situation. Our Economics Editor Ed Conway has investigated whether those doubts are justified. He visited Chesterfield - where six in ten people voted for Brexit - and Newcastle - which narrowly voted Remain.
SHOWS: Interior shots of machinery being used in a hydraulics company; Interview with Jessica Penny, General Manager Penny Hydraulics; Graphics explaining poll data on hoe people feel about their economic prospects; Exterior shots of bridges over the River Tyne at Newcastle-Upon-Tyne; Exterior shots of Newcastle International airport and runway staff working on plane; Interviews with Graeme mason, Planning Director Newcastle International Airport; Richard Baker, Head of Strategy North East Local Enterprise Partnership.
