Senate witness proposes ivermectin effective against coronavirus the research funding lacks
Broward Health Medical Center Pulmonologist Jean Jacques Rajter says in opening testimony before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee committee on early outpatient treatment for coronavirus patients that many patients may be unable to take vaccines for healthcare reasons or opt not to do so, long term immunity for vaccines not yet documented so Covid 19 would need to remain on the forefront even after vaccination programs were initiated, ivermectin effective in early, late disease and postexposure prophylaxis, and oral medication requiring no monitoring, safe and inexpensive, his team ready to proceed with randomized controlled trials of ivermectin use but unable to do so because of lack of funding and support, noting a few hundred thousand dollars may definitively prove or disprove its effectiveness for early treatment with a properly designed and implemented randomized controlled trial.
