On August 25, 2022 the rain washed stupa and its intricate carvings looked magnificent. The gateways made of sandstone are intricately carved depicting the teachings of Gautam Buddha and also show the intricate linkage of humans with nature. The Sanchi Stupa is printed as insignia on the Rupees 200 currency note of India.
