- A 70-year flood covers much of the downtown core of Calgary Alberta, and this shot is a reverse-zoom hyperlapse sequence down the final hill of major transportation route MacLeod Trail leading into downtown Calgary.The shot starts at the top of a large hill with 70mm long view of the modern Calgary skyline and incrementally moves down the hill over a period of 30 minutes along the centre median to end in a 30mm wide shot revealing an entire intersection submerged in a torrent of muddy flood waters which spilled over from the Elbow River, a tributary of the Bow River which flooded the other side of downtown as well.From the top of the hill, you can see the extend of the flooding and all of the major buildings of the eastern side of downtown Calgary. Mixed cumulus clouds boil in the blue sky above and behind the skyline.Search and rescue workers and civilians survey the edge of the flood waters.
