California Congressman Jimmy Panetta says at a news conference on job cuts at the Department of Veterans Affairs that he just wished President Trump and Secretary Doug Collins could see and feel and understand how much care was needed for those who served them, and instead they had this attitude that had been tainted be it by DOGE or be it by a president who got out of service rather than get into service, and he thought that was why they had a president who thought that it was more important to give out money rather than to give care to their veterans, but as they heard so articulately put by his colleagues those who served did not do it for the paycheck but did it to give back to their country and to their community, so the least that they could do as members of Congress was to ensure that not only did they live up to their obligation but that the President of the United States lived up to his obligation to provide the proper veterans care.
