California Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi says in morning hour debate that in 2001, the CIA prepared 16,000 documents for declassification, we're talking about a human rights volley, directed by the National Security Council was sufficient, and that they said nothing further was needed, which raises the question of how much money will this cost and how much time will it take of the Director of Central Intelligence to produce an adequate report, but former Congressman Maurice Hinchey argued it was time the Central Intelligence Agency accounted for its role in the military coup that toppled the democratically elected government of El Salvador, and that the American people need to know how our government supported the rise of ruthless dictator Gusto Pinochet who systematically murdered and tortured his enemies.
