Senator Harris says America never fully addressed racism amid George Floyd protests
California Senator Kamala Harris says in objecting to a consent request by Kentucky Republican Rand Paul to amend the Emmett Till Antilynching Act that it was remarkable and painful to be standing there especially when people of all races were marching in the streets outraged by hate and violence and murder that fueled by racism during the span of the country's life and America was raw, her wounds exposed raw from the fact that in history, black people had been treated as less than human in the fact was the country was wrong because America had never fully addressed the historic and systemic racism that exists, all during a funeral for late Minneapolis resident George Floyd killed in police custody
