Passenger Sarah Plourde told Storyful of the "traumatic" experience, much of which she was able to capture on video. She said the ferry capsized on its way to the island after encountering rough water, which caused it to tip within a couple of minutes. "The first floor filled with water and we had to climb to the side and climb out the window," she said.
