Chairman of the Leicester Square Hall Limited introduces the covering of the snooker table ceremony to the audience, after the Final Frame match at the venue, where two brothers, Joe Davis and Fred Davis played the final match. Manager of the Leicester Square Hall, Ted Lowe, introduces professional snooker players who take part in the covering of the table; Joe Davis and Fred Davis, Willie Smith, Kingsley Kennerley and Sydney Lee, John Berry and Sidney Smith. Usually this covering the snooker table ritual takes place after the audience have left. On this occasion, as this was the last match to be played at the venue, it took place in front of the audience. This was part of the 1954/1955 News of the World Snooker Tournament.
