Columbia University students continue to demonstrate in support of Palestine on 2nd week

NEW YORK, US - APRIL 29, 2024: Columbia University students continue demonstrating solidarity with Palestine on the second week of worldwide student protests.Protests have been reported at a wide array of campuses from California State Polytechnic University, Humboldt; Yale University; University of Minnesota - Twin Cities; Swarthmore College and the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania; the University of Rochester in New York; the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Tufts University and Emerson College in Massachusetts and the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.Israel has waged a brutal offensive on the Gaza Strip since a cross-border attack by the Palestinian group Hamas on Oct. 7, which Tel Aviv said killed around 1,200 people.More than 34,300 Palestinians have since been killed, mostly women and children, and nearly 77,300 injured amid mass destruction and severe shortages of necessities.(Footage by Lokman Vural Elibol /Anadolu Agency via Getty Images)
