Count Basie and Orchestra "Take Me Back Baby". VS of Basie and predominantly adult African American male orchestra playing. Jimmy Rushing seated in the orchestra, dozing off. Rushing walking up to building entrance, rings doorbell. Adult African American woman opens window and sticks her head out. Rushing begins singing for the woman to take him back. She shakes her head no. Rushing pleads some more. She shows throws her key down to him. Rushing picks up the key; enters her apartment and the woman acts affectionately toward him, as he continues to sing; they sit down on the couch together. She takes a black book he pulls from his coat pocket, and sees names of the other women that rejected him, throws the book away before shaking him by his coat. Basie shakes Rushing awake from his dream; Rushing playing saxophone, Basie steps back to the piano. VS of Basie and the orchestra playing.
