That's why we deployed Typhoons, that's why we deployed F-35s, that's why we've deployed radars joined by Wildcat helicopters and HMS Dragon over the coming weeks. And of course, we also coordinate with our other European allies who are deploying into the region to ensure that across that front, we are keeping British civilians, British personnel, armed personnel, safe across the region.Q - You mentioned HMS Dragon there. Well that ship is still in port. Why is it taking so long to deploy?A - HMS Dragon represents an important capability that will bolster our air defences, which we've been deploying since January and February across the region. It's not the only capability we have. British Typhoons, F-35s have been taking down missiles and protecting people over the last few days and will continue to do that.Q - Yeah, but HMS Dragon, we now know that the head of the armed forces didn't get a request to send that ship or get that ship ready to send out to Cyprus until Tuesday this week, four days after this war started. Why is it taking you so long?A - I would want to reassure your viewers that the capability has been there for months to support our allies in air defences across the region. 400 personnel, radar capability, F35's, Typhoons taking down missiles as we speak. And you'd have seen that over Qatar, you'd have seen that over Jordan just in the last few days. And of course we've got further capability and of course we coordinate with allies.
