Senator Carper floor remarks on nominee Kavanaugh view of criminality by presidents
Delaware Senator Tom Carper says in debate on confirming Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court that Americans believe no one is above the law but Kavanaugh wrote in a Minnesota Law Review article that Congress should pass a law to exempt a sitting president from criminal prosecution or investigation, asking if he was kidding but he was not, ironically coming 11 years after Kavanaugh played a key role in drafting the Ken Starr report laying out grounds for impeachment of Bill Clinton.
